Abbey Gardens Community Trust, Haliburton. We are a not-for-profit organization focused on a community-based effort to secrue agriculture, energy and financial sustainability for Haliburton County. Alternative Journal is a bimonthly Canadian magazine that provides a deeper level of analysis on environmental issues that can be gained from the main stream press. Our goal is to focus on environmental innovations and opportunities in Canadian communities, especially those that also address national and global environmental issues. ACER is a not for profit organization, incorporated in 1991, working to make Canadian materials and programs available to learners-especially those dealing with environmental issues.
